A Validation Study on the Scoring System of the Korean Version-Boston Naming Test for Children

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and efficient method of administering the Korean version-Boston Naming Test for Children(K-BNT-C) by comparing the following three different methods: 1) administering 60 test items; 2) applying a discontinuation rule of the ceiling upon six consecutive failures and 3) applying both a baseline upon eight consecutive successes and a discontinuation rule of the ceiling.
Methods
A total of 2,560 children between 3 and 14 years old were stratified into 24 groups based on age and were tested via the K-BNT-C. The results of each age group were analyzed based on the aforementioned three administration methods.
